Foreword Communications organised the contract signing and grounding-breaking ceremony for the Lonza Group and Singapore’s Bio*One Capital to announce the joint building of a large-scale mammalian cell culture plant in Singapore for the manufacture of commercial biopharmaceuticals. The joint venture between Lonza and Bio*One Capital was signed on 14 February 2006, followed by the ground-breaking for the new facility the next day at Tuas Biomedical Park. Mr Stefan Borgas, CEO of Lonza hosted both events. The Minister for Trade & Industry, Mr Lim Hng Kiang officiated at the ground-breaking with the Swiss Ambassador, Dr Daniel Woker in attendence. More than 100 guests attended the event followed by a reception at Raffles Country Club.
